On Episode 95 of Starting 9, we’ve got the legend, the Iron Man, Cal Ripken Jr. in studio. I don’t slap this on very many interviews, but after I give this a few more weeks to breathe, I think I can objectively put this in my top three favorite interviews that I’ve ever been a part of.
Outside of the interview, we’re talking about Miguel Andujar’s season-ending injury, predicting division winners after almost two months of play, debuting a new segment where we show random players some love who have been performing well but would never be highlighted otherwise, and we take some Twitter questions from the Grounds Crew which sparks a discussion on whether or not Jon Lester will one day end up in Cooperstown.
